Discover a Royal Abbey. Founded in 1309 by Philip the Fair, the Royal Abbey of Moncel was home to the nuns of Sainte Claire until the Revolution. Today you can immerse yourself in the daily life of the nuns thanks to the reconstitution of the rooms of the Middle Ages: refectory with frescoes, dormitories under the hundred-year-old framework, gigantic vaulted cellars... The furnishings of the rooms and the mannequins showing the Poor Clares in their daily activities allow you to really feel the atmosphere of meditation and prayer that the "poor ladies" experienced. During the summer months, exhibitions and events complete the visit of the abbey and the 6 hectares of parkland in which the remains of the castle of the King of Fécamp are located.
