Thousands of roses, a Cistercian abbey and the incredible Ali Baba's cave of a wealthy collector: the Chaalis estate is home to no less than 8 centuries of turbulent history in a fabulous romantic setting of ruins. From Cardinal Hippolyte d'Este, who designed the park and brought in Italian artists such as Serlio and the painter Primaticcio, to Jean-Jacques Rousseau, whose soul still hangs in the air, and Nélie Jacquemart-André, the last owner of the estate: the astonishing architecture of Chaalis is accompanied by an exceptional 3,500 m² rose garden.

A rallying point for thousands of enthusiasts and aesthetes every year, Les Journées de la Rose has been celebrating the queen of flowers for over 15 years, alongside horticulturists, nurserymen, rose growers, artists and craftsmen in an exceptional setting.
