If you decide to take a stroll along the hiking trails that criss-cross the Glachoirs, you're likely to get a "wow" effect! Your senses are in turmoil in this former open-air stone quarry: you'll be amazed at the sight of these gigantic blocks of stone rising up to the sky. The smell is that of the Midi and its pines which, surprisingly, grow in this place..., your ears perceive the clicking of the carabiners of the climbers who are harnessed to the walls, and with your fingertips, you touch the grooves in the stone left by the cutters at the end of the 19th century. Calm and a change of scenery for a relaxing moment for lovers are the order of the day in this magical place, classified as a protected natural area, of Saint-Vaast-les-Mello.
