House built on the first floor of the former royal castle of Creil, built by the Counts of Clermont at the end of the 12th century.e century, the birthplace of King Charles IV, then enlarged by Charles V at the end of the 14th century.e century and occupied by the kings of France until the 17th century.e century.

This was the home of the director of the Creil earthenware factory in the early 19th century.e century, then by the Gallé-Juillet family of notables from Creillon until the 20e century. The house and collections were donated to the town of Creil in 1930 by Berthe Gallé, following the death of her only son in the First World War, and of her husband in 1928.
