At the dawn of their adult lives, Abel and Balkis are living a great love story. In the heat of youth, the couple believe that their love can save them from themselves, their own histories and the ghosts of the past. One night, everything changes. In Morocco, the earth trembles and this crack impacts Balkis to the very core of her being. In the morning, she has disappeared and Abel has not heard from her. After a long silence, she replies in Arabic. He no longer understood her. A rift has come between them.
Surrounded by drapes, the performers narrate, dance and slam this idyll, accompanied by a musician. Writing in French and Arabic, they respond to the rage of this compartmentalising and distorting duality, within which cross-fertilisation cannot take place.
