The 25 avril 2026
Château de la Reine Blanche 60580 COYE-LA-FORET
from 10h00 to 12h00
The Commelles ponds provide an ideal backdrop for learning (or perfecting) your bird-watching skills, with lakes, reedbeds, forest edges and clearings making up a particularly lively mosaic of habitats. The aim of this outing is simple: take the time to observe, learn to spot the clues (silhouettes, attitudes, flights, calls) and put names to the species you encounter.
Depending on the time of year, we'll be looking out for waterfowl (ducks, grebes, herons), passerines on the fringes, and sometimes a few migratory surprises. The walk is punctuated by observation breaks to understand who lives where, why, and how the birds adapt to the conditions of the moment (weather, water level, disturbances, season).
The outing is designed to be both educational and convivial, with advice on how to use binoculars and spotting scopes properly, simple identification methods and keys to making lasting progress. Ideal for beginners, it's also perfect for refining your vision and leaving with concrete reference points.
