The first time, Anaïs recited a fable. 20 years later, she accuses her father, the Michelin-starred chef Louis Lacascade, of abusing her. Through the testimonies, we plunge into a complex spiral. The shared passion for cooking and the love of family meld with the violence, almost inseparable.
The choral narrative that unfolds in this assize court examines, with nuance and intensity, this duel between silence and speech. It's a long road: Anaïs discovers that the unspoken words she is fighting against are a legacy. She has to dismantle the omerta that structures her entire family.
For the vivacious Anaïs, regaining her voice becomes a matter of life and death. From silence to speech, from the kitchen to the courtroom: it's an epic journey, that of a modern heroine.
