The 19 déc. 2025
Bibliothèque Paul Eluard 60160 MONTATAIRE
Calligraphy workshops are held twice a month on Fridays from 1.45pm to 4pm, alternating between the two libraries.
Derived from two Greek terms, kallos (beauty) and graphien (the act of drawing), calligraphy is defined as the art of the line, and encompasses the elegance of the line, the proportions, the rhythm, the composition of the lines, and the breathing of full and empty spaces.
A calligrapher will be on hand to share her knowledge and skills with you, giving you both theoretical and practical guidance. Whether the work is historical Latin calligraphy or gestural works in the service of text, poetic and literary creation is at the heart of these encounters.
The event brings together around twenty people of different ages, genders and levels.
Free, on registration at the media library: 03 44 64 45 50/ 03 44 27 39 70
