One year after the Paris Olympic Games, after the spectacular cavalcade of "Zeus", the mechanical horse that split the waters of the Seine during the opening ceremony and the equestrian sports held in the magnificent gardens of Versailles, it's time to rekindle these emotions around the equine theme and rekindle the flame, starting with that of sport.

With this in mind, HORSES is offering a series of exhibitions and Art Talk events on the equine theme, built around a common thread: the photographic works of Donna DeMari. The tour will focus on three themes: sport, art and history, and will be combined with gastronomy to enable the public to discover all the sporting, artistic and historical dimensions of the equestrian theme, and to exchange ideas in a convivial setting.

Donna DeMari
American fashion photographer Donna DeMari began her career in Milan and has spent much of her life photographing models for the fashion press.
For more than two decades, she has been applying her skills to equestrian posing, combining her love of horses with photography and developing an original approach to capturing the model.

A unique, multi-sensory artistic exploration of the equestrian theme, based around the photographic creations of Donna DeMari.
Crossing from Paris to Chantilly / Opening

A gastronomic tour of Parisian restaurants that revisit the culinary tradition of Chantilly cream, sweet or savoury, under the aegis of La Confrérie Des Chevaliers Fouetteurs de Crème Chantilly. The restaurants feature photographs by Donna DeMari, accompanied by a quiz on equestrian tourist attractions.

The story of an artistic collaboration between Donna DeMari and Cari Swanson, who trains horses for Hollywood films.

29 July: Haras de La Cense - Marc-Antoine Corticchiato - Yvelines Essonne
An olfactory experience with perfume designer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, who has taken up the olfactory and memorial world of the horse in association with the Haras de La Cense, which specialises in equine ethology. Conceived as a prologue to the examination of parallels between human and equine emotions in favour of communication and well-being.

30 July : Chantilly Stables - Valérie Delarue
A performance by Valérie Delarue reinterpreting the Greek myth of Pegasus over lunch. This is combined with a visit to the famous stables and a culinary workshop led by the Confrérie les Chevaliers Fouetteurs de crème Chantilly.

The urban fabric of Paris preserves a memory of the horse, of the time when it was omnipresent before the rise of the motor car and machinery heralded the end of animal power. If you let yourself be guided, you'll find plenty of evidence of its presence, past and present.
