Come to the Maison de la Pierre for a real time of sharing and learning about the famous Saint-Maximin stone! Frédéric, a real stone-cutter and trainer in the stone-cutting trade, will share his passion for this age-old craft with you!
2 options to choose from:
- 6-hour introductory workshop for adults and teenagers aged 10 and over (rosette measuring 10 x 10 x 1.5cm)
- 2-day introductory workshop (2 x 6h) for adults and teenagers aged 15 and over (30 x 30 x 3cm rosette)
On the programme: Like the stonemasons who fashioned our cathedrals, discover the art of stonemasonry and learn how to use traditional tools to create a small rose window.
Frédéric will guide you and adapt to your level so that you can complete your project.
At the end of your day or weekend course, you'll have the great satisfaction of taking home a real masterpiece carved by yourself, representative of the Gothic art that enhances our built heritage!
