In this anecdote, we will discover\u00a0<strong>Villers-Saint-Paul, Montataire and Thiverny<\/strong> !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Villers-Saint-Paul<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\"Hoc est villam quae dicitur Villaris cum omnibus ad eandem villam pertinentibus et est sita supra Isaram fluvium in comitatu silvanectensi\".<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>Latin phrase is the oldest mentio<\/strong>n known to the commune, it appears in a diploma of Robert II the Pious, dated from the palace of Senlis on<strong> 6 January 1006<\/strong>. This is an area in which there are references to the \"\u00a0<strong>villa known as Villers<\/strong> located on the course of the river Oise in the county of Senlis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name of the municipality will undergo a<strong>umerous developments<\/strong>formerly known as <strong>Villaris in 1006, Vilera in 1161, Viliers in 1209, Villers-Sainct-Pol in the early 17<sup>th<\/sup> century<\/strong>It was even renamed <strong>Villers-Paul under the Revolution<\/strong>. At the time, we were talking about <strong>\"Thiberniacum: the \"domain of Tiberinius<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time, it was quite common to find domain names inherited from a contraction of a name followed by the <strong>suffix \"Acum<\/strong>. The same applies to the neighbouring town of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.creilsudoise-tourisme.fr\/en\/2021\/08\/11\/etymology\/\">Cramoisy<\/a>Cramisiacum gradually evolving into Cramoisy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many municipalities will experience this development, the <strong>suffix \"acum\" evolving into the letter \"y\".<\/strong>.
