A small turret, probably once used as a dovecote, has been placed at the top of a mound. A sculpture in the round, signed by Gossin Fr\u00e8res, probably represents Ceres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In front of the low wall surrounding the garden, a cenotaph was built by the Saint-M\u00e9dard avant-garde in memory of Maurice Gall\u00e9, who fell in the First World War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast to the Jardin \u00e0 l'Anglaise, the Jardin \u00e0 la Fran\u00e7aise gives the image of nature under man's control. Located to the north-east, it is composed of symmetrically arranged parterres and Medici-shaped flowerbeds.
