The screen reader may not correctly announce drop-down menus or sub-menus, making navigation confusing for a blind user.   2. Structure \/ semantic markup<\/strong> Limitation: The \"Menu\" at the top does not yet display explicit labels on each link. People using a screen reader can hear \"see more\" without knowing what it is, which degrades the experience. What the team is doing about it: Replace the generic \"See more\" with \"See more - activity \/ section X\" (more descriptive text).   3. Images and media<\/strong> Limitation: Decorative or illustrative images without an alt attribute or an empty attribute, when the image has no useful information to convey. Screen readers can either read \"images\" without context, or skip useful images. This degrades visual comprehension. What the team is doing to overcome this: For each image, define an appropriate alt attribute (alternative text): if the image is informative, give a description; if it is purely decorative, set alt= \" \" so that the reader ignores it.   4. Images and media<\/strong> Limitations: Video\/media (\"The destination in video\"): no clear command for subtitling, transcription or control (pause, stop). A hearing-impaired person cannot access audio\/video content without subtitles or transcription. What the team is doing to remedy this: Provide a transcription or synchronised subtitles.   5. Colour contrast \/ legibility<\/strong> Limitations: Some texts, particularly in menus or on background images, may have insufficient contrast with their background (white on image, light text on light background). For the visually impaired, particularly those with contrast deficiencies, this makes certain texts difficult to read or indecipherable.   6. Colour contrast \/ legibility<\/strong> Limitation: Text integrated into images (banners, titles on images) without a textual alternative. Screen readers cannot read the \"graphically integrated\" text: the information is lost to the visually impaired. What the team is doing to avoid this: Avoid inserting important text into images.   7. Navigation \/ keyboard \/ focus<\/strong> Limitation: No \"skip to content\" (link allowing users to jump directly from the menu to the main content). This makes navigation longer for users with keyboards or screen readers, as they have to go through all the navigation links before reaching the content.   8. Forms \/ search \/ fields<\/strong> Limitation: No (or few) error messages or accessible help (e.g. for contact forms). In the event of an input error, a visually or cognitively impaired person may not understand what they have done wrong or how to correct it. What the team is doing to overcome this: Add clear error messages associated with the fields. Make sure they are announced by screen readers.   9. Content \/ clarity \/ cognitive overload<\/strong> Limitation: No adjustable font size option or \"high contrast mode\". If the site does not let the user adjust the text size or activate a high contrast mode, those with poor vision are limited. What the team is doing to remedy this: Offering user control (\"+ \/ -\" buttons for size, high contrast mode), or ensuring that the browser zoom (up to 200 %) does not alter the layout (responsive).
