Located a few kilometres from Chantilly and Senlis, in Creil, the Gall\u00e9-Juillet Museum <\/strong>offers a striking insight into the the city's past<\/strong>through the poignant testimony of a family who lived there at the beginning of the last century<\/strong> and the exhibition of several hundred pieces of earthenware,<\/strong>some stamped Creil-Montereau<\/strong>. But not only that...<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A journey through time... <\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

We keep in mind the look of these occupants <\/strong>whose period portraits can be seen on the walls of their home. <\/p>\n\t\t\t <\/div>\n\n\t\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

An immersive museum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the last century,<\/strong>the Gall\u00e9-Juillet family, related to the famous painter Ernest Gall\u00e9<\/a>lived in a beautiful house on the banks of the Oise river. Their son, Maurice, grew up there, pampered and surrounded by toys, paintings and collectors' items... But History catches up with this beautiful family<\/strong> and mowed down this only child in the prime of his life in 1916, during the battles of the Somme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several years later, Mrs. Gall\u00e9-Juillet bequeathed her house to the town of Creil, which will turn it into a museum.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The table is set, the beds are made<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is how it is today, you can travel through time,<\/strong>go back to our ancestors\u2019 era<\/strong>and discover during a guided tour<\/strong> their daily life and their history. The table is set with fancy dishes, the beds are made, the toys are laid out in the room, as if they were waiting for a child to come and release them from their time capsule.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

In addition to the<\/strong>very immersive guided tour, the museum also offers, to immerse yourself even more in the daily life<\/strong> of its occupants, a Thrilling Escape Game<\/a><\/strong> about Maurice and his past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
